How private and secure are the App user’s data?
We value our App user’s privacy, and we are committed to protecting the privacy of your location data. Thus, the user’s location information will be collected anonymously within the venue, and it will be used only to calculate crowd density. In addition, our App will never collect any data from the user without his permission.
What (personal) data do IndoorAtlas process from the user?
IndoorAtlas do not receive any personal data from the user and the user does not have to fill in any personal data in the app. The App requires the use of a Bluetooth signal, which the user’s smartphone sent, and links this to a pseudo-identification number (id). The pseudo-id is a randomly chosen number. This makes it possible to distinguish between different people and locations. This number cannot be traced back to the user as a registered visitor or participant.
The App is created by IndoorAtlas. IndoorAtlas is the data controller and will process data through the App based on the user’s permission. For information about which data IndoorAtlas exactly processes, please refer to the privacy policy of IndoorAtlas.
Does the App user able to see the other App user’s location?
App user’s location is not visible to other App and Dashboard users. App user is only able to see his location and a graphical representation of the crowds in an area when using the app.
How long will the location data be stored?
IndoorAtlas stores the data they collect for a maximum of 4 days/96 hours.
Who receives the App user’s location data when using the App?
The creator of the app, IndoorAtlas, receives all the data that the App collects to offer this service and to improve its services. Please consults the IndoorAtlas privacy policy, which is located on the sidebar menu in this App.
